                                                       Arena COVID-19 Regulations
                                                        Revised September 24, 2021  

                         The Town of Grand Falls-Windsor have the following guidelines in place
                          to meet the Provincial COVID-19 Regulations. Though the COVID-19
                          Provincial Guidelines have lessened we do want to ensure everyone
                          that we follow all the current regulations below, especially with the
                          rising number of cases throughout the province.


  • 1. There is no Arena capacity reduction due to COVID-19, however, due to
    the labor disruption there will be no spectators permitted in the building
    except for one parent per Initiation and CanSkate participant to assist the
    younger children with their skates. Special permission will be granted for
    games and special events. Contact the office for details.

  • 2. ALL users and spectators entering the stadium must wear a face mask.
    Users can remove their mask as they enter the ice surface or when they
    leave the building. Spectators must wear their mask at all times except
    while sitting in the bleachers 6ft. from other spectators. Coaches must
    wear masks on the benches. No spectators are permitted to view rentals
    in the lobby area, they must use the bleachers.

  • 3. A separate entrance and exit is marked out at the main entrance of the
    arena and in the bleachers.

  • 4. Physical distancing is required as much as possible in all areas of the
    building. Dressing rooms, benches and bleachers are marked with X’s for
    social distancing.

  • 5. Please email a list of all your groups players, coaches and parents to
    smcintosh@townofgfw.com for contact tracing purposes. Please go
    directly to your dressing room when entering the building and only leave 
  • your dressing room after the group skating behind you are in their
    dressing room.

  • 6. Anyone’s name that is not on your contact tracing list must sign the
    contract tracing form in the front lobby each time they enter the
    building.

  • 7. Arena Staff will perform Covid-19 building sanitation of frequently
    touched surfaces

  • 8. Washrooms will remain open to all users.

  • 9. Dressing Rooms and showers are open for users.

  • 10.All users must follow the COVID -19 signage throughout the building.

  • 11.There is absolutely no alcohol permitted in the stadium and user group
    rental privileges will be revoked for all team members if any member of
    the group brings alcohol in the arena or on town property around the
    building. (Zero Tolerance)

  • 12.Especially during COVID-19, spitting in not permitted anywhere in the
    building. This practice is not just unhealthy it is dangerous for all users.
